When co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth attended a party for their film "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" at the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, the stars did not expect to get almost burned in the process.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence is famously known for her clumsiness and constant flubs during award season in which the actress has had many incidents that made national news.

The New York Daily News reported that the two were having a good time at the party which took place at Baoli Beach when they nearly got burned by a tray of candles that fell on them.

Lawrence and Hemsworth are attending the Cannes Film Festival to promote the second installment of the "Hunger Games" franchise.

Just Jared reported that a source told the site that while attending a party in honor of their movie, "Liam and Jennifer were sitting on a sofa in the VIP section of the party when all of a sudden, an 8-foot column with a platter of candles on top fell on top of them."

"They both jumped up when it happened and thankfully no one was hurt. Liam and Jennifer both seemed pretty calm about it and laughed it off. They almost caught fire - literally."

ABC News 10 reported that as the candles fell over, one almost hit Lawrence in the head.

Luckily both stars are fine and will continue to promote their new film "The Hunger: Games Catching Fire" set for a November 22nd release.
