Following her break up from co-star Ian Somerhalder, it looks like Nina Dobrev is moving on. Dobrev looked happy as she posed with her "Vampires Diaries" creator Julie Plec as she attended a New York City wedding solo.

Although she did not have an official date to the soiree she sat with Plec and director Macros Siega. The actress wore a one shoulder pink lace dress which she had drama with earlier, the actress tweeted about her dilemma on Saturday.

"Soooo lets just say youre going to a black tie wedding in New York City in 2 hours and you're dress disappears? #emergencyshopping #screwed."

However the actress made it to the wedding, she tweeted, "Made it to the wedding ! Late because of a lil dress drama, but technically on time because the wedding hasn't started. Phew."

According to International Business Times, the actress posed for a picture with Plec and apparently enjoyed herself that night because on the following morning she posted a photo on her Tumbler account.

The picture was of a messy bed, almost empty bottle of water, half eaten toast and eggs with the caption, "Uhhhhh...the morning after. It is what it is. Haha."

However, Dobrev was not the only one who enjoyed her weekend. Ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder took to Twitter over the weekend to boast about his exciting weekend.

On Friday he posted a picture on Instagram of his new Audi Q5 Hybrid, "My new baby, my @Audi Q5 Hybrid. She's waiting for me on the show room floor-going to pull my Airstream and get me into the woods! Thank you Kevin Fenner & everyone at Audi & Jim Ellis Audi Marietta. I honestly miss the chill warm life in Georgia."

IBT reports that Somerhalder is currently in Paris but that did not stop the newly single heartthrob from tweeting from the city of lights on Saturday, "Magnificent morning in Paris - Bonjour Paris how I love to be here!"

"The Vampire Diaries" stars split in early May but a source revealed that they "will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started."
