Angelina Jolie is preparing to play a woman very close to her heart - her late mother.
The actress will celebrate Marcheline Bertrand's life through film in a planned biopic, according to U.K. reports. She is spearheading the project with fiance Brad Pitt under his Plan B Entertainment company, according to a report by the Sunday Express.
Jolie and Pitt are being tight lipped about the film, but it will most likely detail Betrand's journey in leaving acting to dedicate herself to being an humanitarian, according to MSN.
Before her untimely passing at age 56 in 2007 after battling ovarian cancer, Jolie's mother worked with female refugees in Afghanistan, and launched the Give Love Give Life organization to raise awareness and combat gynaecological cancers.
Jolie, who recently revealed that she underwent a double mastectomy after learning she had a 87 percent change of developing breast cancer, continued her mother's altrusitic efforts.
