Fragrances tickle our fancies for more than just their fancy packaging - they offer up an alluring melting pot of aromas.

Calvin Klein knows how to do a fragrance right, proving that once again with their nouveau "Downtown," according to the Huffington Post. The urban-themed smell fest in a bottle boosts a floral, woody juice scent that will give a nice ride to your sense of smell.

Trust us, it is a nice combination of musky allure and feminine prowess in a manufactured bottle.

It finds an appeal in not only smell, but in branding. Actress Rooney Mara, who loves the iconic brand, debuts the fragrance in a spanking new beauty ad campaign. Her brooding stare into photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino's camera lens should be enough to convince people that the fragrance has some wondrous effects.

"The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" screen star gives the scent some edgey appeal in the upcoming  black-and-white TV clip to air in July.

The pairing of Mara and CK mades it seems as if when creative forces dream up new fragrances, they dream about who would make the scent seem like magic in a bottle, complete with the ability to leave a trail of admirers behind.

Dowtown hits stores in September.
