Last Friday Victoria Beckham was seen with a hint of a smile as she shopped in New York City, however the next day she was seen sporting her famous pout. Could the sudden change of attitude have anything to do with husband David Beckham's retirement?

David Beckham announced that he will be retiring from soccer on Thursday May 16th.

Although Beckham plans to spend a lot of his free time with kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, according to the New York Times it has long been rumored that the soccer player was interested in club ownership, especially in Major League Soccer

Beckham had already started planning for his post-playing career earlier in the season, becoming an ambassador for Chinese soccer.

"Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love, however I feel like I'm starting a new adventure and I'm genuinely excited about what lies ahead."

Beckham said. "I'm fortunate to have been given many opportunities throughout my career and now I feel it's my time to give back.

"I want people to see me as a hardworking footballer - someone who, when he steps on the pitch, he gives everything he's got," Beckham said. "When I look back on my career that is how I look back on it and that is how I hope people have seen me."

Meanwhile his wife Victoria Beckham juggles being a full time mom and a clothing line designer.

According to the Mirror, the busy mom said, "I'm up early in the morning doing spelling tests and maths quizzes before the school run, then up late with a baby and a 14-year-old who refuses to go to bed - Brooklyn."

Hopefully the family will be spending more time together and we can see PDA filled outings like this one.
