When women break up the first thing to go is usually their hair, either by way of scissors or drastic color change but following her break up with Chris Brown, Rihanna opted to do a combination of the two.

The 25-year old was spotted in New York on Monday sporting peroxide blonde hair according to the Daily Mail.

Photographers caught the singer exiting her vehicle assisted by bodyguards who tried to conceal Rihanna's drastic new look by hiding her behind umbrellas. But photographers succeeded in taking quick shots of the "Stay" singer's changed appearance.

While the singer looked fabulous with her new look it seems that this style on Rihanna is only temporary. The singer was actually wearing a wig which she wore for part of a photo shoot, that she had earlier in the day with MAC.

She tweeted, "And that's a wrap on another #MAC shoot!! 2 in 1 day!! Thats my d*** team!!!"

The same day Rihanna also did a shoot for her new River Island collection, she tweeted, "2 day shoot for my upcoming Autumn/Winter collections with River Island was flawless! My models looked so damn good! Foreign chicks errwhere."

Following her recent split from singer Chris Brown it seems like Rihanna is filling her time with work, instead of taking time off to deal with her break up.

We must admit that the singer looked good exiting her car, sporting her trademark edgy look for her evening shoot, pairing baggy leather pants with a black crop top. She finished the look with a long denim coat, a red envelope bag, and a small lace and gold choker.

Women should take notes from Rihanna, following a break up do not allow yourself to break down, glam up and stay fabulous.
