County music star Carrie Underwood has been married to hockey Player Mike Fisher for almost 3-years however the singer is not quite ready to expand her family. The blonde beauty sat down with Marie Claire and opened to the magazine about her personal life.

The 30-year old who rose to fame following her "American Idol" win back in 2005 has won six Grammy Awards and sold more than 15 million albums.

According to ABC News, when asked about kids she explained to the magazine that she is just not ready. Since she has been married the singer has received baby questions but Underwood does not feel she is in the right place in her life.

"I don't feel old enough to have kids. I know I am mature. But being responsible for another human?"

Although we see Underwood as a country cutie sweetheart, the singer reveals that what the public sees is not who she is.

"I'm a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed. I do wish I were softer. I wish I were able to form relationships better. But hey, I mean...I'm not a sociopath."

"I'm not a mushy person at all. We were never a huggy family. Or a 'let's talk it out' family. Technically I have siblings but they are quite a bit older than me - I was the accident - so I have the only-child syndrome going on."

Her unaffectionate family may be the reason the star has had trouble adjusting to fame when she was launched into stardom.

"At the beginning of my career, I used to have panic attacks. People were touching me, screaming - it made me really nervous. In public, I just get nervous."

"It's a physical reaction, feeling like the walls are closing in. The fans are great. It's not their fault. I don't ever want to come across as ungrateful. But on my end, it is hard for me to process. Because I am still just me."

The star has since adjusted to the spotlight but still has her awkward moments, "My husband calls me the queen of awkward moments. Anything that can be made awkward, I will make it awkward."

Maybe in a few more years the singer will change her mind and have a baby, we would love to see if a mini Carrie Underwood would have the same strong vocals as her talented mom.
