A photograph from 1939 featuring a Jay-Z look-alike was recently uncovered at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library. The picture that was taken by photographer Sid Grossman in Harlem of 1939 is now being compared to the Brooklyn native who was born in 1969.

According to the Huffington Post the discovery of the vintage picture has sparked up a variety of jokes and theories about the rapper secretly being a time-traveler or vampire. Grossman did not identify the young man when the picture was taken.

The Inquisitr reports that Sylviane A. Diouf, Schomburg's Curator of Digital Collections, stated that she was surprised when she came across the picture, "I was immediately struck by the similarity to Jay-Z and actually laughed out loud."

"I still hope somebody will tell us who that young man really was." Some theories speculate that Jay-Z is a member of the illuminati and this picture shows proof of immortality.

The surfacing of the photo seems a bit coincidental seeing as the rapper was the executive producer on the 1920's period soundtrack for the film "The Great Gatsby" and now a look-alike suddenly surfaces of the rapper from the 1930's.

Researchers are still unable to identify the man following the release if the photo. Jay-Z is not the first celebrity to be accused of time traveling, in the past Nicolas Cage and John Travolta have also been "seen" in different eras.
