In the words of Rihanna, NBC's Savannah Guthrie is shining bright like a diamond!

The happy-go-lucky and smiling "Today Show" anchor got engaged to media consultant Mike Feldman, 44. Viewers got an earful and eyeful of the ecstatic and bushy-eyed Guthrie, 41, who shared the fantastic news after actor Bradley Cooper handed her roses on Monday's early-morning show, according to the Los Angeles Times.   "We've been together four years, so, as he said, no one will accuse us of rushing into anything," she said on the air."We adore each other. Our families have been in-laws for years...they were just waiting for us to catch up!"

Feldman, a former consultant to Al Gore, had popped the question over Mother's Day weekend. He was also sounded extremely delighted, calling in to the show. "It's not bad being the luckiest guy in the world," he said.

But how did the whole thing happen? Well, nervously, Feldman took the traditional one-knee approach during the couple's vacation in Turkos and Caicos. And Guthrie had a delayed reaction. "It didn't dawn on me that he was actually asking," she said, adding that she believed he was still talking before he pulled out the engagement ring.

Her "Today Show" colleagues were also head-over-heels happy for her. Matt Lauer congratulated them, giving a great-guy nod to Feldman, according to USA Today.  Al Roker had even suggested that the show host the wedding. However, Guthrie is not looking for publicity for the impending nupitals, but does want to walk down the aisle as soon as possible after being with Feldman for four years.

Though this is Feldman's first attempt at marriage, Guthrie's is on her second time around. The anchor had divorced BBC producer Mark Orchard in 2009.
