While Beyoncé is off jet setting around the world on her Mrs. Cater World Tour, it looks like her dad who is in the states is in trouble with the IRS. Matthew Knowles did make millions during his time when he managed Beyoncé's career but now it has been reported that her father still owes money on those millions.
According to TMZ, the IRS filed a "ridiculously large lien against Knowles, claiming he needs to cough up some cash from the years 2010 ($485,575.95) and 2011 ($728,004.89) ... all totaled, $1,213,580.84."
Entertainment Wise reported that Beyoncé's father "raked in 'boatloads of cash' during the years that he managed Beyoncé's career, but sources now say that he didn't pay back the correct tax amount."
Despite her father's woes, Beyoncé has been reportedly been spending huge amounts of money on private jets, so that she can travel in style while on her world tour.
Jay-Z's wife is rumored to have made a deal with "The Apprentice (UK)" star Lord Sugar so that she can arrive at her shows in comfort. It has been determined that she will use his £18.5 million jet for concerts in Europe and the US during her four month tour.
A source tells The Sun: "As a canny businessman Sir Alan often makes his jet available for corporate hire."
"He spent a lot on it so it makes perfect sense to make some money back when he can."
The firm that Sugar rents jet through was approached by Beyoncé's camp and after some negotiating, a price was agreed on.
The singer has since rented a home in Berkshire for her time in the United Kingdom and has been spotted flying in and out of a private terminal at Manchester airport for three shows this past week.
No word on whether the singer plans to help her father or make him pay his own debt.
