Ryan Seacrest will set sail on a new adventure -- for the Telemundo Network.
The adorable American Idol host will produce a new spanish-speaking sing-off series, "Superstar Showdown" featuring two established artists competing against each other for the audience's vote, according to Associated Press.
The show's format has been super successful in other countries, and that is a great indicator of how it could perform stateside.
Emilio Romano, president of Telemundo media, said he hopes Seacrest "will use talent and leverage to attract talent."
Trying to pull off several programming shifts and upgrades for next season, the network will air the show this Fall.
The show is under the umbrella of Seacrest's self-named production company, according to Adweek.
The newly single television and radio personality's series will not be the only show added to the network's new line-up. The channel will feature five primetime novellas including "Camelia la Tejana", a daytime court show called "Caso Cerrado" and dating show called "12 Corazons."
Event programming is also in the works including a special look at Billboard's Mexican Music Awards and the Miss Universe Pageant.
Sounds like a solid TV schedule!
