Rihanna unveils a preview of her second collection for River Island, which will arrive in stores on May 25.
In a new behind-the-scenes video, the Barbardos beauty drops some juicy dish including some of the inspirations behind the spring/summer 2013 high-street clothing line. She even gives an insider look including letting fans watch a model fitting, pumping up the anticipation.
"I just wanted stuff that I wanted to wear because at the end of the day that's what got me into designing -- seeing things on the rack that were great but they could have been a little bit more me," said the "Diamonds" singer on Rihanna Daily. "Maybe they could have been a little longer or shorter, or have a little more sex appeal or a little less. I wanted to make clothes for fat days; stuff that I want to wear. I was being selfish. Hopefully, my friends and people that shop at River Island will have the same taste."
The rock-and-shock star perused fashion-forward and chic clothing racks with co-designer Adam Selman in the clip below. They go through several floral and tie-dye print jumpsuits, simple pink and charcoal dresses, an oversized military-style khaki jacket, a high-waisted skater skirt and slinky crop top, according to Rihanna Daily.
Rihanna, who did a little Twitter sparing with ex-beau Chris Brown today, added this dish about the clothes. "I made a piece for everybody in my crew," she said. "We all have different body types and different tastes--some are braver than others. I think like that because that's how women in the world are. We're all different, we like different things, we have different occassions and different moods.
Check out the clip and let us know if you will be rocking these clothes!
