While big sister Lindsay Lohan is busy settling into the Betty Ford Center, her 19-year old sister Ali Lohan is attempting to step back into the limelight and become a model.

In her younger years Ali tried followed in her big sister's footsteps by pursuing both acting and singing but did not achieve much success. In a new interview with WWD Aliana wants to take a try at modeling.

The 5 foot 9 aspiring model recently signed with Wilhelmina Models. Prior to signing with the company she spent two months in Korea modeling and even appeared in Elle Korea.

"I was there for two months, and it was an amazing experience."

"Everything was amazing. The shoots, the clothes, the makeup, the hair - it just blew my mind."

Lohan told WWD why she chose modeling over music and acting, she said, "I just love that you can express yourself through a photograph."

"It just captures every moment. I mean, the clothes - that's not bad either. Music is always going to be a hobby of mine, but I think this is definitely what I want to do now."

The humbled teen realizes her blessings in having a famous family but does not want to use the notoriety to get ahead.

"I would just like to be known as my own person. I don't need to ride on any coattails."

"I just want to make my mark myself. I definitely have to prove myself - just showing up on time and doing everything that you're supposed to do."

She realizes her sister's mistakes with fame and wants to do good with her own, " I want to make the most out of the word 'fame.' I want to do good things with my fame, or whatever it is. I want to help and do charity work. "

Although she is the younger sister of the famous/infamous Lindsay Lohan , Ali feels like she is not faced with the stigma of being "Lindsay Lohan's sister." The aspiring model feels like she is just like any other model trying to find work.
