The former Harry Potter star is slowly shedding her good girl image with the help of her new flick "The Bling Ring." The second trailer to the film starring Emma Watson was released on Tuesday.
Previously reported, the film that will be shown at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, released its second trailer showing Watson as the "superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral" character Nicki. With the release of the upcoming flick and the buzz going around about her role in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film adaptation it seems clear that Emma Watson wants to be considered an adult actress.
According to Moviefone.com Academy Award nominated director Gus Van Sant has shot a test reel of a sex scene from "Fifty Shades of Grey." The director casted "Magic Mike" star Alex Pettyfer as Christian Grey in his unsolicited bid for director to Universal and Focus who have rights to the movie and will produce the film adaptation.
Watson has continued to deny that she will play the role of Anastasia Steele in the movie for "Fifty Shades of Grey." She is more focused on promoting her new film "The Bling Ring."
In this full trailer, that actually includes continuous dialogue we begin at Nicki's house, played by Emma Watson whose mom played by Leslie Mann is waking the girls up by calling out to them, "Girls, time for your Adderall!"
Emma Watson's character is loosely based on the real life Bling Ring member Alexis Neiers who had an E! Network reality show "Pretty Wild" that chronicled her life along with the trial following her arrest.
Moving on the trailer cuts to a club scene where celebrities Paris Hilton and Kirsten Dunst are seen partying and Watson's character is introduced to Marc played by Israel Broussard. The group is quickly stunned by the presence of the celebrities and wants a piece of them in any way they can get it.
The group then decides to take a trip to Hilton's house when they find out the heiress is out of town to which Emma Watson's character announces, "I want to rob." Flash forward the group gets caught and arrested for the burglaries and become engulfed in a media frenzy.
"It all comes back to bad choices. Who you have as your friend," Nicki says in the trailer.
The film is set to hit theaters on June 14th.
