For weeks, there has been speculation on whether or not the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star Khloe Kardashian will return to the show "The X Factor" as a host. On Monday Fox confirmed that the reality star will not be returning to host the show for season 3.
According to Entertainment Weekly Fox released a statement, "Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor," the show's producers said in a statement. "We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."
The network has not explained why they are letting Kardashian go however during the season, the E! star struggled to read the teleprompter and in turn received a lot of mockery for it.
The reality star who is known on her show for struggling with fertility issues has been thrown another curve ball and has been dumped from her hosting gig.
Kardashian's co-host Mario Lopez will remain on the show, judge Simon Cowell was thrilled to hear the news of Lopez's return, he stated, "Hosting a live show and keeping the judges - especially Demi - in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he's coming back."
According to the LA Times Mario Lopez made a statement, I'm looking forward to returning to 'The X Factor' team," Lopez said in a statement. "We're coming back stronger and better than ever and I'm excited to check out all the new talent."
Returning to season three as the only regulars will be "X Factor" judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato as well as host Mario Lopez. It was announced earlier on that both Britney Spears and LA Reid would not be returning to the show as judges.
Season three of "The X Factor" is set to commence in the fall. Fox has yet to announce the two judges who will be added to the show.
