Known for his clever catchphrase "jeah" and of course his Olympic medals Ryan Lochte will be coming to a television near you. The Olympic swimmer who stated, "Being Ryan Lochte is . . . fun," will be starring in his own reality show on the E! network.
Labeled as what the Washington Post calls a "sex Idiot" Lochte does not seem to mind the media's label of him as a handsome dumb jock. Often overshadowed by fellow Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps, Lochte claims he wants to do everything different with his new reality show 'What Would Ryan Lochte Do?'
In an interview with 'Extra' Lochte told television personality Mario Lopez that he didn't want to be like Michael Phelps and just be a great swimmer, he wanted to be different. The Olympic champion felt like a reality show would be a step in the right direction of being different.
In the supertease video released by E! of the reality show, we see what seems to be an air headed Ryan Lochte trying to figure out how many olympic medals he has won. Between the 2008 and 2012 Olympics Ryan Lochte has received five gold medals, three silver, and three bronze totaling 11 medals and holds four world records.
However the show does not focus on the Olympians accomplishments. According to the Washington Post Lochte's reality show focuses on the athlete indulging in "bro-time" with his circle of friends that he refers to as his "Lochterage."
In the tease we see Lochte at swim practice telling his coach he plans on going out for a few beers the night before a big swim meet. Cut to that night Lochte is seen downing shots of alcohol, partying with his friends and flirting with girls.
However we see a softer side to Lochte when he is seen with his family. His mom and sister want the best for him, especially when it comes to finding the right girl.
Lochte admits that he wants to settle down and find the right girl to marry however he is realistic that it will not be happening anytime some.
Catch the reality show "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" Sunday night on E!
