"The Vampire Diaries" season 4 episode 20 does not air until next week so in the meantime as fans await for the next episode as well as the highly anticipated season finale we are going to dish out some spoilers to keep you sane for the time being.

One spoiler is that in season 4 episode 20 of "The Vampire Diaries" the episode which is titled "The Originals" will act as a pilot for the spinoff series of "The Vampire Diaries."

In this upcoming episode we see Klaus follow a tip given to him by Katherine about a witch in New Orleans. Klaus departs from Mystic Falls and we see him arrive in New Orleans. Upon his arrival to the town he and his family helped build Klaus meets up with former protégé Marcel.

Marcel is a charismatic vampire played by Charles Michael Davis who just happens to have complete control over the supernatural and humans of New Orleans. Although Marcel praises Klaus referring to him as his "mentor, savior, sire" it seems the feeling are not mutual on the other side.

It is clear that the student has become the teacher. Klaus is envious of Marcel because he holds what Klaus has always wanted power, family, and loyalty.

His brother Elijah follows Klaus to the French Quarter to help him find redemption and become King. Their sister Rebekah soon joins them after Katherine "reveals a surprising vulnerability" to her and ask Rebekah to deliver a message.

While there Elijah discovers that female werewolf Haley, who has traveled to New Orleans to search for clues about her history has fallen into the hands of a powerful witch.

Meanwhile back in Mystic Falls brothers Damon and Stefan are continuing their plan for Elena.

TVD star Nina Dobrev tweeted a photo from set while filming the season 4 finale. In the caption she tweeted, "On set, filming the TVD season 4 finale episode- graduation, to be specific- the end of a chapter..bittersweet."
