On Tuesday the rumor mill was in a frenzy as news hit that there would be a "Friends" reunion. The show's co-creator Marta Kauffman confirmed to E! News that the rumors of a "Friends" reunion are false.

Kaufman told E! News, "I'm going to clear this up-it's not happening!" Rumors began to swirl about a possible "Friends" reunion when a photo shopped poster hit the internet Tuesday. Along with the poster a false press release began to float around falsely confirming that the cast would be back.

Kaufman also put an end to any hopes fans may have about a possible "Friends" reunion movie, "Friends was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there's no need anymore." To see video of Marta shooting down the "Friends" reunion rumor click here.

Earlier this month the radio station KHITS in Tulsa, OK posted an image on their Facebook page showing the famous Central Perk couch with the title "Friends the One with the Reunion" Thanksgiving 2014. Back in November 2012 former cast member Mathew Perry tweeted, "There is zero truth to this rumor. but Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!"

In the past former cast members voiced their lack of desire to reprise their roles because many believed fans would be disappointed about how the characters would be portrayed at this point. In an interview in June 2012 Matt LeBlanc told "EW," "Everyone's going to have different vision of what those characters are like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people."

Even though the "Friends" reunion rumors are false former cast members have become very successful after the show. Particularly Jennifer Aniston who showed off her toned body last night at the premiere of "Call Me Crazy: A Five Film" which she directed. Pictures of the former "Friends" star at the premiere can be seen here.
