Clark Kent is back, but this time in a coming of age story that later ascends to the superhero that is Superman. The "Man of Steel" trailer shows the story of a young boy struggling to find the identity that is Superman.

Henry Cavill Stars in the "Man of Steel" directed by Zack Snyder and based on the script by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer, the same geniuses behind the Dark Knight Trilogy. After months of teasing, Warner Bros. finally released a three-minute trailer of the "Man of Steel".

The trailer opens to the familiar story of Jor-El, who is played by Russell Crowe and Lara Lor-Van, played by Ayelet Zurer saying goodbye to their son as they send him away from their dying planet. Lara worries that their son will not be accepted and will be killed but Jor-El reassures her, "He'll be a God to them."

In the struggle to find out who he is we see a different side to Clark Kent. Following a rescue of school children Clark Kent turns to his adoptive father played by Kevin Costner, who tells him that he's the answer to "are we alone in the universe" and Clark replies, "Can't I just keep pretending I'm your son?"

His father then tells him, "I have to believe that you were sent here for a reason, and even if it takes the rest of your life, you owe it to yourself to find out what that reason is." Superman is then seen embarking on a journey of his destiny while Lois Lane, played by Amy Adams searches for the mysterious hero.

Soon the Superman that we are all too familiar with appears taking flight, as General Zod is seen attacking the Earth looking for the lost son of Krypton. He then turns himself over to the military while the voice of Jor-El is heard in the background, "You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you. They will stumble, they will fall, but in time they will join you in the sun."

The trailer comes to an end following the interaction between Superman and Lois Lane. Lois asks what the "S" stands for, he replies by saying, "It's not an S...on my world, it means hope."
