Its's a girl for Jenna Hager. The newest member of the Bush/Hager family is baby Mila. Margaret Laura "Mila" Hager was born on April 13th in New York City according to People. Jenna, 31 along with her husband Henry Hager, 32 welcomed their first child on Saturday at 8:43p.m. she weighed in at 6 lbs, 15oz and measured 19 ¼ inches long. Mila was named after her two grandmothers, which is aBush tradition. Twins Jenna and Barbara are named after their grandmothers as well.
Jenna who is a contributor to the NBC Morning show has shared some photos of the former first family holding the baby. In the Today show studio Jenna's colleagues took the time to celebrate the birth of baby Mila and send their well-wishes to the new mom. According to US Weekly her colleagues commented on the ensuing birth. Matt Lauer said, "I think she was really ready for the pregnancy to be over." Other NBC talent spoke about their predictions of the baby's gender along with Jenna's preparation for the baby. Natalie Morales commented that Jenna did not even have a baby carrier ready.
This is the first grandchild for Laura and George Bush "Laura and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our grandchild, Margaret Laura 'Mila' Hager," the former President wrote on Facebook. He also wrote, "Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated."
The couple who announced the pregnancy in December were married back in 2008.
This is not the only big news for the Bush family. On April 25th the George Bush Presidential Center will have a dedication ceremony honoring the former president. Its public opening will be May 1st.
