After tweeting, "I want a change. Maybe I will start with my hair... BROWN again?" Actress Reese Witherspoon was soon spotted with new locks, ditching her normal blonde tresses for a darker shade of brown.
Reese's new hair is reminiscent of the shade she wore in 2005 during her Oscar-winning performance as June Carter Cash in 'Walk The Line.' Reese has again dyed her hair for an upcoming role in a film called The Good Lie, which focuses on a refugee of the Sudanese Civil War. Reese's new hair color was chosen by her longtime hair stylist, Lona Vigi, and the film's director, Philippe Falardeau, to bring more depth to Witherspoon's character. Avon Global Hair Color Expert Lorrie Goddard, transformed Reese's hair, taking her from blonde to a brunette, a color she thinks, "naturally enhances Reese's features."
How did Goddard achieve the look? To get the natural looking cocoa shade, Goddard layered in lots of low lights and an all over lighter brown shade on Reese's hair to create depth and texture. Goddard has worked with Witherspoon in the past, bringing the actress's hair back to blonde once the filming of Walk The Line ended. She has worked with Reese and her blonde tresses ever since.
Comedian and hit TV talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres jokingly supported Reese's hair color change by spoofing the dye job with a photo of herself with cropped brown locks for April Fools Day.
