Miu Miu, a luxury fashion brand from the house of Prada, showcased its RTW collection at the Paris Fashion Week, March 6.

The brand headed by creative director Miuccia Prada featured some classic looks signature to Prada and also managed to surprise the audience with quirky pieces.

"Something sporty but it had to become frivolous and romantic at the end. The end is completely another story, but I didn't have time to analyze it. It's just instinct and what you see," the designer said to WWD, talking about her new collection.

The designer dressed models in body sculpting dresses and skirts, which were paired with striped stockings and knee high socks. Some of the dresses flared in a playful way below the knees and others were so fitted that they looked like second skin on the models.

While the dresses and skirts were fashion forward, they were completely overshadowed by the trench coats that were worn over them. The coats and jackets, which looked conventional with golden buttons, pockets and fur lines in darker hues of black, brown and navy, were given a modern twist with bright colored scarves. The brand made sure to mix and match colors so that the shades do not get monotonous over time.

But when a model stepped onto the runway dressed in a bright tangerine wind cheater jacket we realized the collection was anything but conventional. And with each outfit Miu Miu got more and more creative and quirky. The brand showcased some fabulous jackets clinched at the waist that looked like off the shoulder dresses and were worn with flowy skirts.

The brand also played around with overcoats with extremely wide lapels and in colors like pink, blush and yellow. Models sashayed the ramp in cute polka dotted trench coats in these shades, which were like a breath of fresh air from the usual darker colors.
