The fall/winter season always makes us think classic trench coats, boots and jackets and Chanel precisely echoed our thoughts. The French fashion house showcased its RTW collection at the Paris Fashion Week, March 5, and featured some of the most delectable pieces.

Chanel's creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, dressed models in loose and warm looking coats and jackets in checkered designs and winter fabrics like wool, suede and tweed. Some of the coats featured unique cutouts in the front that made them look like variants of the high-low dresses. Pairing them with knee high boots lent a rugged appeal to them.

An outfit we loved was a gray tweed blazer with a high neck and pockets worn over a tweed skirt and paired with black leather thigh high boots. The outfit appealed to our eyes and loved its semi formal look.

Other winter wear included tweed double breast blazer with delicate ruffled edges and cuffs, a suede blue jacket with overlapped gray edges and other bulky trench coats all paired with leather boots.

Another piece that caught our eye was a grey knee-length double-breast coat with blue edges, cuffs and collars. The design of this coat was kept very simple but its striking color combination stood out on the ramp.

A little later, Lagerfeld sent models down the runway dressed in tweed sleeveless dresses that featured peplum like layers paired with gray skinny trousers and black leather boots. The collection also featured light boat neck sweaters in navy blue paired with printed skirts.

Models also donned colorful knit dresses in red and pink accessorized by knit purses of the same color and design. Chanel's collection also included a black check blazer paired with a delicate ruffled black skirt and white trousers.

Accessorizing the look, almost all the models wore spikey leather gloves and Eskimo caps.
