Former "Laguna Beach," and "The Hills" reality television star Lauren Conrad is enjoying a relatively private life for the first time since she was a kid. "When you do something like that, you start to really value privacy, so once I was done I was really looking forward to keeping some things to myself."

The 27-year-old star discussed life after MTV, her fashion line, new book and more recently with omg! Yahoo before heading down to South Beach for Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show.

Conrad on being more private since her reality television days: "I think that during the show you feel an obligation to share your life with people because that's your job and that's what you do. Throughout those years, when you do something like that, you start to really value privacy, so once I was done I was really looking forward to keeping some things to myself," she said.

However, the California girl doesn't think she would change anything she did for "Laguna Beach," or "The Hills."

"You know, even the mistakes that I made taught me lessons and I don't really have any regrets. I think the only thing that I would change is maybe my attitude towards it. I think I spent a lot of time stressing. I was also 18 and 19 years old when I started, so that's expected. You worry a lot about what people think about you and what you would do differently. I think that as soon as you let go and stop thinking about it, it all becomes much easier."

With her new book, Beauty, and own fashion line out, Conrad admits she "would like a little more me time this year," but is also looking forward to what comes next, including spring fashion trends.

"I am looking forward to all of the multi-colored laces. They're so pretty and I've seen them in a few different lines and I am definitely looking forward to them."

While some girls fret about what guys will think of their fashion choices, Conrad thinks they are pretty easy to please for the most part.

"I think it is different, because there are some styles that I think guys would hate and then they don't mind them. I think it just depends on the guy. When it comes down to it, guys are pretty simple with style. They want it tight and short and simple. Every guy that I've talked to, that's what it comes down to. They're not super complicated people."
