Now that we know what is trending on the runways thanks to the London Fashion Week, it's time to prepare your wardrobe for autumn winter 2013 with the season's latest designs and colors.

Lighter Hues

While the cold weather mostly is all about darker hues, designers surprised us with lighter and cheerful colors. Shades that were big on the runway for the season were lighter floral hues like peaches and pink.

These floral colors always reminded us of spring and sunshine but come to think of it, they are perfect to add a faint radiance to the fall season.

The Polo Neck

Another trend to come back with a bang this season is the polo neck. Designers like Erdem and Roksanda Ilincic showcased some classic dresses and winter wear with polo.

 Animal Print
Who doesn't love the good old animal print? Be it bags, shoes or outfits, animal prints are one of the most effective ways of adding glamour to an ensemble. And when clubbed with fur and in striking colors by Sister by Sibling or gold plated accessories by Burberry, they are a visual feast.

Thigh High Slits
The seductive slit skirts and dresses are back this season too. Mostly seen on the ramp in darker colors like black and navy, these outfits were clubbed with furry tops and turtle necks.

Trousers under Skirts
When Emma Watson wore pants under her dress during the premiere of "Perks of Being a Wallflower" fans went into frenzy and started debating if she had forgotten to leave behind her pants. Who thought this would be one of the runway trends at the London Fashion Week where Mulberry models walked the ramp wearing skater skirts over wide trousers.

Gold Plates
Gold plated bags, belts, shoulders and shoes have been known to add a pop of bling to an outfit. During the fashion week, Burberry used this style in almost all their items making it a fashion trend to look out for.

So go on and stock your wardrobe and make a stylish fashion statement in the Autumn/Winter season 2013.
