Trey Smith, Will's son, brings dad into DJ at Vanity Fair party

Trey Smith, son of Will and half-brother of Jayden, is done with football and moved on to the 'family business'—music.

Tuesday night, Trey and dad were turning tables at Vanity Fair and L'Oréal Paris-hosted D.J. Night pre-Oscar party for a celebrity crowd at Roosevelt Hotel. The 20-year-old, who is Will's son from his three-year marriage to Sheree Zampino, performs as DJ AcE. Notable A-list celebrities on the floor included Jayden Smith and actress Chloe Moretz.

The music comeback seems to be in full swing for the 44-year-old Will, who was also recently seen recording in a studio in Rio de Janeiro with acclaimed rapper Kanye West. The former "Getting Jiggy With It" rapper has not released new music since his 2005 album, Lost and Found, but recently seems eager to get back into the performing outlet that first made him famous.

His son, now a rising star in the music business, has only fairly recently begun DJing. He made his professional debut last December at Miami's trendy Club Liv, London's Daily Mail reported. Smith has also done some moonlighting for "Access Hollywood" as a reporter. It was just a few years ago, however, that he was making a name for himself as a star football receiver at LA-area Oaks Christian H.S., where he was catching passes from former San Francisco 49'ers QB Joe Montana's son, Nick.

With his family's support, Trey brought in his half-siblings Jayden and Willow to backup sing on the video for his song "Find You Somewhere," which was directed by his stepmom, actress Jaya Pinkett-Smith.

The Vanity Fair party, hosted by actress Frida Pinto, is part of a week-long schedule leading up to the Academy Awards.
