Following in the moonsteps of his father, Prince Jackson is entering the entertainment industry before he's old enough to vote.

It has been announced that Jackson, 16, will be the next 'ET' correspondent and has already finished his first interview with the stars from the upcoming film "Oz the Great and Powerful," actors James Franco and Zach Braff, and director Sam Raimi. The pop icon's eldest son also asked his subjects for advice on how to break into the competitive industry because he aspires to become a "producer, director, screenwriter and actor." Large goals for a wide eyed young man. James Franco advised him that each day that passes is wasted time.

"I always tell people, just go out and try, and stop waiting around or dreaming it's going to happen," Franco answers. "Just go and start doing things on your own."

Prince's father's first job as an entertainer also came in an "Oz"-inspired film, as he  The Scarecrow in Sidney Lumet's 1978  film, "The Wiz: The Super Soul Musical Wonderful Wizard of Oz."

Fellow ET correspondent Brooke Anderson helped Jackson along during his first interview on camera, but believes that the Jackson offspring is already well prepared for the spotlight that his father so famously coveted during his life.

"That's what most of my people say," Jackson responds. "That was all thanks to my dad. He raised me right."

Humble words certainly don't hurt when you're the child of a superstar. Jackson will certainly need to work hard to step out of the massive shadow cast by his father, but he's already making the correct steps to getting his own name out there. You can watch the eager pop king's kid on the CBS entertainment news program, and time will tell if Prince is fit to continue ruling the entertainment landscape for the Jackson name.
