Model Kate Moss has landed herself another beauty deal as she has been named the face of Kérastase Couture Collection. Moss will front the ads of the hair styling products scheduled for mid-May release in French salons.

The hair care brand has released a teaser named, “K Manifesto” that shows the model shouldering the role of the brand’s face. The video starts with a 30-second introduction to the new ambassador and goes on to show Moss getting her hair styled into glamorous waves.

Moss is later seen in a black outfit posing alongside the letter “K” while photographer Sølve Sundsbø captures her in camera.

Moss has often been in news for her controversial private life and drug abuse. Due to these issues, the Briton has been dropped by various brands and her contracts cancelled. Hence, Kérastase choosing her as their ambassador comes as a surprise to some.

Explaining the decision of the brand to rope in Moss as the brand’s face, Françoise Lehmann, worldwide general manager of Kérastase said that she conveyed Kérastase’s values perfectly.

“Who better than she can incarnate at once style, modernity that’s the most absolute, the most aspirational and at the same time the refusal of dictates, the refusal of codes and the refusal of constraints?” Lehmann asked WWD.

Moss is a well known name in the industry and has fronted various brands like Chanel, Burberry, Dior and Stella McCartney but this deal will be the 39-year-old’s first time as the face of a hair care brand.
