Alec Baldwin's pregnant wife Hilaria Thomas is the subject of a new lawsuit from a grad student who suffered a "serious" handstand injury in her yoga class.
32-year-old Spencer Wolfe was reportedly attempting a handstand too close to a window when he lost his balance and fell through a glass window, ripping open his left leg in the process. Wolfe believes he suffered the injury at the Yoga Vida studio near Union Square because of an "overcrowded" class due to Thomas' "negligence." He also claims he would not have been so close to the window if he had room to move. "There was a large amount of blood," one student in the class told the New York Post.
While the anonymous student claimed the classes do "get insanely crowded in there," she also added that another student screamed "it's your fault! It's your fault!" at Thomas after the fall because he was doing the handstand incorrectly.
Wolfe's lawyer, Paul Weitz, believes his client may have a permanent disability because of Thomas' "negligence." "He can't flex the ankle and the foot points downward. He's in a boot," Weitz told the Post. "He is worried whether he'll be able to use his leg normally again - and right now it's a waiting game."
Baldwin has taken to twitter to refute the comments made by these sources to The New York Post, claiming "1- the class was, IN NO WAY, "dangerously crowded." 42 in a class w room for 70. 2- no student screamed "it's your fault" at the time of the accident. 3- moments before the accident, the instructor clearly told Wolff not to attempt the very thing her injured himself doing. 4- one of the people who accompanied Wolff to the emergency room, and remained there w him for two hours, was the instructor."
Yes, these days even yoga can leave you stressed.
