The biggest patron of a Las Vegas diner, Heart Attack Grill, collapsed and died of a heart attack.

John Alleman, 52, collapsed while waiting for a bus in front of the diner last week. He was immediately rushed to the Sunrise Hospital where he was kept on life support but couldn't be revived. Alleman was taken off the equipment, Feb. 11.

The Heart Attack Grill is popular for its huge hamburgers, fries made in lard and extra-fat milkshakes. The 52-year-old patron, who was an unofficial mascot of the diner, would often stand outside the eatery encouraging people to try out the dishes served at the medical themed restaurant.

Speaking about Alleman's death to Las Vegas Sun, owner of the diner Jon Basso explained how he often warned Alleman to cut down on dining at the eatery. "I told him if you keep eating like this, it's going to kill ya. He'd say, 'I just love your place, Jon.' He's the only person I know who was probably at the restaurant more than I."

The popular diner features sarcastic and humorous warning about the calories in their food items and customers are given surgical gowns when they make a choice from the menu while the waitresses are dressed as nurses.

Heart Attack Grill also holds a Guinness World record for the most calories packed burger- Quadruple Bypass Burger that contains 9,982 calories and weighs about 3-pounds.

While Basso mourns the death of the loyal patron whose caricatures are featured on the diner's merchandise, he doesn't hold his eatery completely responsible for the incident. Basso says that Alleman might have had the heart attack due to genetic reasons as both his parents died of the disease in their 50s.

The eatery made news for similar reasons in 2011 when another of its mascot, Blair River, aged 29 and weighing around 260 kilograms, died from what was assumed as pneumonia.
