Makeup artist Bobbi Brown will be starting her own eyewear line of optical glasses and sunglasses. Brown who created her own cosmetics label named after her decided to branch out into a different accessory.  According to WWD, Brown will be the first major cosmetics artist in the fashion and beauty business to venture into their own eyewear line.

According to WWD, the collection will be inspired by Brown's beauty color palettes from her cosmetics label. The line of eyewear will also have prices ranging from $130-$180 for sunglasses and $160-$200 for optical glasses. Her collection will be unisex so that both men and women can sport what will be a line of trendy and modern eyewear.

Over the past few years eyewear has seen a re-emergence into popular culture due to various designs and trendy looks. "Nerdy" glasses became quite popular with every-day consumers and celebrities alike.

Brown commented on her new venture by stating, "Over the years, people have asked me to design jeans or shoes. That didn't make sense for me. This made sense for me.  Being a beauty expert and makeup artist, I've always been aware of how glasses can transform a face. I want to take the mystery out of how to choose the right glasses for your face."

The upcoming Brown eyewear collection has a projected release date of January 2014.
