“Gossip Girl” actress Blake Lively has finally revealed the secret behind those glossy, wavy locks that we have always longed for. Just tie semi-dry hair into a ballerina bun and Hallelujah, perfectly wavy and flirty hair. So it isn’t that difficult after all.

Lively, who is the face of Gucci’s new fragrance “Gucci Première,” sat down for an interview with Refinery 29 and described how she liked her hair to look natural and “lived in.”

“If I have my hair down there’s something romantic about it, I feel like it looks lived in and it has a story,” she said. Dishing on how she achieves those waves, Lively added, “I’ll wash and dry my hair to where it’s still a little bit wet, and then Ill put it in a ballerina bun, and then when I take it out it has a really nice natural, deep wave. If people don’t think it’ll work, it’ll only not work for you if you have really fine, straight hair.”

The actress also explained that having her hair down was like a “safety net” for her as she is a shy person. This statement actually comes as a surprise after watching her play the confident, classy and cheerful Serena van der Woodsen in the hit teen series.

The 25-year-old also admitted that having her hair down makes her feel happy and relaxed as opposed to structured hair that makes her feel tense and stiff.

Talking about style, Lively named actresses Katharine Hepburn and Grace Kelly as her style icons as they are timeless and revealed how she uses eyelash glue to avoid wardrobe malfunctions.

The actress, who married actor Ryan Reynolds in September 2012, has always made the most perfect red carpet appearances but denied the fact that she has a stylist. “I just go online as the clothes hit the runway," she said.
