Last night the new and improved John Varvatos website was officially launched. Designer John Varvatos celebrated this event with a party with celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens, Vincent Piazza, Raekwon, Waka Flocka Flame and Austin Butler at Houston Hall in the West Village. The DJ for the party was The Roots’ Questlove who spent the night spinning tunes.

The new website was built to support a planned global expansion as well as direct customer support. The new website was designed by the agency Wednesday. Wednesday Director of Strategy, Ian Schatzbe stated that “the site features a design and layout that truly reflects the philosophy of ease, functionality and masculine luxury that have been the hallmarks of the John Varvatos brand”, according to PRNewswire.

The site has also been designed for users with different mobile devices. The page layout allows users to easily flip through the site on their tablet, or mobile devices. The site also retains the brand’s sophisticated appeal while providing an easy viewer experience. “Our brand is rich with history, style and experiences and the new site allows us to tell our story alongside our products,” states John Varvatos on his new website.

John Varvatos also introduced “Style & Substance,” a new monthly editorial section that will be profiling stylish men who are dedicated to their work and craft. The featured men for this month are Pete Cashmore (founder of Mashable.com), Michael Chernow (co-owner of The Meatball Shop), Anthony Jeselnik (stand-up comedian), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Nick Swisher (New York Yankee outfielder) and Michael Voltaggio (Top Chef winner).
