Rapper Chris Brown is the latest celebrity victim in a series of 'swatting' 911 hoaxes. Cops rushed to the singer's house, Jan. 21, after they received a call reporting domestic violence involving a gun, only to find out it was a prank.

Police officials claimed that the caller reported that a man and a woman were fighting and the man had gone to another room to get a gun and the caller hung up after that without mentioning Chris, reports TMZ.

When the police arrived at the house, Chris Brown was away and there was no violent incident to take care of, reports Huffington Post.

Over the weekend the Kardashian's were the victims of such a call when swat teams and helicopters rushed to their home responding to a distress call. It again turned out be a hoax.

Huffington Post further reported that last week, Beverly Hills police responded to a fake armed robbery call from Tom Cruise's house. Other hoax calls have been made from homes of Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher and Miley Cyrus.

It seems the callers are bent upon rushing SWAT teams to the celebrity homes but such prank calls are dangerous and are punishable by law.
