Singer Jessica Simpson, who is expecting her second child with fiancé Eric Johnson, has announced that she is expanding her collection of maternity wear to include clothes that are every day chic. The pop star is collaborating with Destination Maternity to ensure the collection is available in over 800 locations.

"I am so thrilled this collection is growing and I am able to give even more women access to comfortable, fashionable and affordable maternity wear," Simpson said in a press statement. "We have designed a collection that is every-day chic, from bright jersey knit dresses to dressed-up denim. I'm looking forward to wearing my favorite pieces during this pregnancy."

When the singer-turned-fashion designer launched her maternity line last year, her attempt was to create dresses that would flatter the baby bump. She believes one should show off the bump during pregnancy, and hence the line included skinny pants, leggings, flowing maxis and dresses.

Simpson herself wore a number of these dresses when she was pregnant with her first child - Maxwell Drew.

Talking about the reasons for partnering with Simpson, Chris Daniel, President of Destination Maternity Corporation said in a press statement: "Jessica resonates with women everywhere and the response to her maternity collection has only reaffirmed this connection. We look forward to the continued growth of our collaboration with Jessica and the Camuto Group, and to being able to offer our customers a well-rounded collection of maternity pieces from a designer they love."

The new expanded Jessica Simpson Maternity line is set to hit the stores in spring 2013. Highlight of the collection will once again include loose tops teamed with skinny bottoms. The theme is romantic and feminine; therefore Simpson has used a lot of lace and airy fabrics in the collection.

Dresses in the expanded Jessica Simpson Maternity wear collection will range from $19 to $69.
