Son of Italian Luxury Fashion House Founder Ottavio Missoni Missing
Plane carrying Vittorio Missoni and wife Maurizia Castiglioni disappeared along Venezuelan archipelago of Los Roques.
The small six passenger plane disappeared along the Venezuelan archipelago of Los Roques, on board were two of Vittoio Missoni's familily members, son Vittorio Missoni, his wife Maurizia Castiglioni with the couples two friends, according to Italian News ANSA.
Vittorio global sales manager of the company and global ambassador of the luxury brand, currently leads affiliates in France and America as commercial and marketing director of Missoni SpA.
The Missoni family has been informed of the disappearance. The company founder Ottavio with other family members have gathered in Sumirago, Italy and is waiting for more news. Vittorio younger brother has since 'left' for Venezuela to work with officials.
Venezuelan officials in Caracas have assured the Italian Government that they are doing their 'best endeavors' in search of the missing plane. "The last contact with the aircraft occurred 10 nautical miles from Los Roques," said Nestor Reverol Minister of Interior and Justice of Venezuela, adding "the group had spent Christmas and New Year's Eve in the 'archipelago.'"
