Rapper Drake took to his instagram posting his offense to Walgreen's and Macy's for using "YOLO" which he popularized.

'YOLO' acronym for 'you only live once,' popularized by rapper Drake and Rick Ross. 'YOLO' mentioned prominently on several of the rappers tracks has been used to promote hip-hop culture. The urban youth culture has embrassed the 'YOLO' term with twitter hashtag, grafitty and urban slang.

Drake recently took offense to retailers using the moniker posting on his instagram: "Walgreens....you gotta either chill or cut the cheque," posted Drake with a photo of Walgreens fitted hats with printed 'YOLO' abbreviation on them. The 26 year-old then added "Macy's...same goes for you," posting a picture of Charlie Brown and Snoopy shirt with 'YOLO is my motto' printed on them.

Drake popularized the use of YOLO acronym 'You Only Live Once,' on his single album 'The Motto' ft Lil Wayne in 2011, with the lyrics "You only live once ‒ that's the motto n**&a YOLO We bout it every day, every day, every day."

Walgreens and Macy's have responded to the unofficial charge, but the phrase 'You Only Live Once,' has been commonly attributed to Mae West, and various use have been used for over 100 years.
