Kate Winslet has tied the knot with boyfriend Ned Rocknroll in a secret ceremony in New York City, according to E!Online. The ceremony was a hush-hush affair that took place earlier this month and was attended by Winslet's two children and very few family members and friends. Like the engagement, the couple's wedding too was a well guarded secret.

Confirming the news, a spokesperson told the Daily Mail, "I can confirm that Kate Winslet married Ned Rock'nRoll in NY earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends and family. The couple had been engaged since the summer."

It has also been reported that the wedding details were kept such a secret that even the actress's parents didn't know that she was walking down the aisle again. And hence, instead of her father, Winslet was given away by her close friend and Hollywood A-list actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

It was not just Winslet's parents that were kept in the dark about the wedding. Rocknroll's father too wasn't informed or invited to attend the nuptial. "It's not something I know of - but nothing would surprise me with those two."

Rocknroll, 34, whose real name is Abel Smith is the nephew of billionaire Richard Branson. The newlyweds met as Branson's guest in Caribbean in August 2011 and have been dating for about a year and half.

This is not the first time Winslet is walking down the aisle. The 37-year-old Academy Award winner married director Jim Threapleton in November 1998 and gave birth to daughter Mia in 2000. But the former couple filed for divorce in 2001.

Winslet then had another secret wedding to director Sam Mendes in 2003 that was attended by just her three friends and daughter Mia. Winslet and Mendes have a son Joe who was born in December 2003 but the duo announced their separation in 2010.
Rocknroll too has been married before to socialite Eliza Cowdray.
