Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher's divorce has been pending for almost a year since they split. Kutcher finally made the move and filed for divorce Dec. 21 but looks like it is going to be a long battle.

According to TMZ, Moore is holding out on signing the papers as she expects a larger settlement from Kutcher, who has been earning a hefty sum from his stint in "Two and a Half Men."

The 34-year-old is currently one of the highest paid actors and earns about $700,000 per episode. Moore despite being worth millions expects a large amount, probably the kind she got from her divorce to Bruce Willis in 2000. The amount Willis paid has never been revealed but is rumored to be quite large.

Just a few months back there were rumors about how the former couple was not intending to file for divorce as the two were never legally married, which was proved false later. It was also reported that they were stuck in a bitter battle over their properties.

Moore's recent behavior in a party seems to have encouraged Kutcher to finally pull the plug. The "Ghost" actress was seen at a party in Miami with Stacy Keibler and Lenny Kravitz. Her behavior was extremely bizarre and she was seen showing off some odd dance moves which raised eyebrows. Her children also have cut her off since.

Kutcher is currently dating his "That '70s Show" co-star Mila Kunis, who also is said to have encouraged the star to move on and file for divorce. The couple has gotten pretty serious over their relationship of about eight months and is constantly seen in public holding hands and going out for dinners and walks.

According to The Daily Mail, Kutcher has hired divorce lawyer Laura Wasser who has worked for a number of celebs like Angelina Jolie and Kim Kardashian.
