Apple founder Steve Jobs who died in 2011 of cancer never had the opportunity to sail in his dream yacht "Venus" but is still paying for it. Venus has been seized by authorities in Netherland as Jobs' heirs reportedly haven't made the full payment to the designer, Philippe Starck, according to TMZ.

The stunning high-tech luxury vessel was designed by Starck on a contract of $11 million. He is said to have received a partial payment earlier and is yet to receive the pending settlement of around $4 million. Owing to this, Starck's lawyers formally requested the courts to seize the yacht before it was delivered to Jobs' home in California and the vessel was impounded on Dec. 19.

"It was actually ready to continue its voyage when there was a dispute between two parties, including the heirs, and one party laid a claim on the boat," USA Today quoted Ranzijn, spokesman of the Amsterdam Port.

Jobs was very hands-on when it came to the designing of the 260 feet vessel and even made sure that Venus featured numerous Apple gadgets to control the vessel.

"The project has been going since 2007 and there had been a lot of detailed talk between Jobs and Starck," The Telegraph quoted Roelant Klaassen, a lawyer representing Starck's company, Ubik. "These guys trusted each other, so there wasn't a very detailed contract."

The beautiful white yacht has now been chained to the docks and will be able to sail to California only once this dispute is settled.
