Zac Posen, american fashion designer will replace Michael Kors in Project Runway. The Season 11 of the show will premier January 24 on Lifetime. 

"So excited to be the new judge on Project Runway Season 11!" posted Zac Posen on his twitter adding, "Joining Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn, This was an amazing opportunity." Michael Kors departure was due to scheduling conflicts and the decision to leave the Lifetime TV show was amicable.

Posen first break in fashion came in 2000, creating a dress for Naomi Cambell. He later started his own designer studio in SoHo and have been credited with numerous awards including Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in 2004. The 32 year-old designs are strong yet feminine and is worn by celebrities including Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Portman, Claire Danes and Rihanna, latest being Glenn Close who wore Posen's gown during the 2012 Academy Awards.

The upcoming Project Runway will include guest judges Bette Midler, Miranda Lambert, Susan Sarandon, John Legend, Jordana Brewster, Emmy Rossum, Kristin Davis, Joan and Melissa Rivers. The new season will feature 16 designers in new "team" edition, with team challenges, showing if designers can work collectively.

Style icons Hedi Klum, Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn will return to the catwalk along with Zac who will replace featured Judge Michael Kors. "I hope I'm here to give a new perspective to the designers," said Posen.
