Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has gotten engaged to his 27-year-old girlfriend, Francesca Pascale, according to The Australian. Berlusconi is 76. The couple has reportedly been dating for a few months and also been photographed together on numerous occasions. They were recently seen together during an AC Milan football match. AC Milan is owned by the Italian politician.

Berlusconi confirmed the engagement on the Italian talk show, "Domenica Live" Dec. 16. "Finally I feel less lonely. I am engaged to a Neapolitan, it's official. She is 27-years-old, with very solid values, beautiful on the outside and even more beautiful on the inside. She is very close to me, she loves me very much and I feel the same. My daughter Marina appreciates her and loves her very much too," The Australian quoted him.

Pascale was a shop assistant in Naples and also served as a provincial councilor in his center-Right party. She stepped down in July. She is also the founding member of the support group, "Silvio, we miss you." The 27-year-old is said to be really close to Berlusconi and has also stated that family, politics and Berlusconi are the most important things in her life.

She is also said to be jealous of other women in the former Prime Minister's inner circle like Mara Carfagna. Carfagna is a glamour model who served as equal opportunities minister during Brlusconi's last term as Prime Minister.

Known for his notorious "Bunga Bunga" parties, Berlusconi has been married twice before. He married Carla Elvira Dall'Oglio in 1965 with whom he has two children, daughter Maria Elvira popularly called Marina and son Pier Silvio. He divorced Dall'Oglio in 1985. He had a much talked about affair with actress Veronica Lairo. Berlusconi and Lairo have three children. He married Lairo in 1990 but the actress filed for divorce in 2009.
