DJ Deadmau5 became one of the few people to propose in “140 characters or less” as he asked his tattooist girlfriend to marry him over Twitter. Dec. 15. The music artist tweeted, “I can't wait for Christmas so.... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?” along with a picture of the ring.

The picture of the ring carried the words, "Changing the diamond to a black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg...theyll finish the actual ring soon I hope. I love You :D."

Kat Von D immediately replied, yes, and later tweeted, "Mi corazon!!! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiancé!"

The music artist later took to Twitter to say, "thanks for the well wishes and support from the horde and everyone else! brb while i spend the rest of my evening with my future wife :)"

Deadmau5 and Von D started dating in September 2012. The couple split in November and reunited later. After a whirlwind relationship, the couple may finally settle down now considering they seem to be serious about it. This is not the first time the couple has announced its relationship status through Twitter. Even the breakup in November was announced through the social networking site with Von D Tweeting about it.

Deadmau5, whose real name is Joel Zimmerman, is a music sensation and has won numerous awards. This will be the 31-year-old Deadmau5's first wedding whereas Von D, 30, has been married once before. She tied the knot with fellow tattoo artist Oliver Peck in 2003. The former couple called it quits in 2007. Later she got engaged to reality T.V personality Jesse James in January 2011 but after an on and off relationship the couple parted ways in September 2011.
