Hugh Jackman is shining bright. After receiving a Golden Globe nomination for "Les Miserables" the Australian actor has now received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Dec. 13, according to E!Online. Though he might be the 2487th celebrity to get the star, the number doesn't take away the charm and honor.

The Australian actor dressed dapper in a navy suit looked gleeful like a child when he knelt down and unveiled the star. "It's kind of a surreal day," Jackman told E! News. "I'll probably always remember Thursday, Dec. 13 and I think I'm either going straight from here to buy a lottery ticket or to a casino because it just feels like someone is looking down on me in a very nice way at this moment." He added, "I'm excited. The star is right here outside where I got to host the Oscars and if the movie gets nominated [for an Oscar], it'll be nice to get up there and show a little bit of the show to everybody."

Popularly known as "Wolverine," Jackman was joined by wife Deborra-Lee Furness and "Les Miserables" co-stars Anne Hathaway and Amana Seyfried who celebrated the honor with him.

Numerous fans showed up to support the 44-year-old and the star addressed them. "I have the greatest fans in the world. I don't take it lightly and or take it for granted and thank you so much for all you do. ... The Boy from Oz was a hit because of the fans," he said, according to ACESHOWBIZ.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame consists of hundreds of terrazzo and brass stars along 15 blocks of the Hollywood Boulevard that honor actors, musicians, directors, producers, musical and theatrical groups and fictional characters. In 2012, Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Paul McCartney, Javier Bardem and Ellen DeGeneres received their stars.
