Taylor Swift turned 23 on Dec. 13 and started her new year with some awesome news. The singer has grabbed herself a 2013 Golden Globe Nomination for her song, "Safe and Sound" in the original song category according to CMT News. This is the singer's first Golden Globe nomination and she teamed up with country/folk duo, "Civil Wars" for the song. Swift and the Civil Wars will be competing in this category against Keith Urban's song "For You."

"What an amazing and unexpected present! I'm blown away by my first-ever Golden Globe nomination and so honored to be nominated with T Bone Burnett and the Civil Wars. This is a huge honor, and I'm really excited and so flattered. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association!" CMT News quoted Swift as saying.

And just when we thought that the nomination was the perfect birthday gift for the singer, Swift announced the release of a new music video of "I knew You Were Trouble" from her album "Red." Coincidently this video is also the 23rd music video that the singer is unveiling since she started her career in 2006.

Apparently, the 23-year-old didn't realize this coincidence till the last minute. "It's like a golden video birthday. I realized that like five minutes ago when someone told me and now I'm all excited about it. I can't believe it lined up like that," she told MTV News.

The song "I Knew You Were Trouble" is said to be dedicated to musician John Mayer who Swift dated from late 2009 to early 2010.

Though the birthday girl has been continuously flaunting red color be it on her dresses, lipstick or even the microphone, the new video sees her sporting pink hair. And no, not in the Nicki Minaj way but more like the ombre trend. With a blonde crown, her hair has a pink tinge on the edges.
