Charlie Sheen and his stunt double Eddie Braun showed their compassionate side as the duo donated $100,000 to a child who has cancer, reports the Los Angeles Times. Sheen is said to have shelled out $75,000 for the little girl's treatment and Braun gave $25,000.
The "Wall Street" actor was seen talking to a cop from Hermosa Beach, California, who told him that a colleague's daughter was suffering from childhood rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a cancer that forms in muscle tissue. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy is required to treat this cancer.
"No parent should have to watch their kid go through that," Sheen told the officer, according to TMZ.
A Facebook page, "Hermosa Beach Police Officers Association supports Jasmine Faulk" has been started to help the family in tough times. A post on this page said, "Big news today for the Faulk family. Together, Eddie Braun and Charlie Sheen donated $100,000.00 to the HBPOA in support of Jasmine's fight against cancer. All proceeds go to the Faulk family to support their daughter. On behalf of the HBPOA, the Faulk family and those who support children fighting cancer, we thank you for your generous donation," along with a picture of the cheque signed by Sheen.
The 47-year-old seems to be all in the mood for good deeds. It was recently reported that Sheen also donated a large sum of about $99, 440 to friend Lindsay Lohan who is under heavy debt. Strangely, the troubled actress still hasn't thanked the star for helping her out.
"She might not be thankful, but Lindsay Lohan is still a 'very good, decent young lady'," nydailynews.com quoted Sheen. "She just needs a little bit of time. People need to give her time to get her s--- together."
