Pulitzer Prize critic Roger Ebert is recovering from a fractured hip.

Roger's wife Chaz Ebert, told the associated press "doctors are making assessment," and her husband is doing much better "asking for computer, will probably tweet." Jokingly Chaz attributed the injury to "tricky disco dance moves."

The 70 year-old Chicago Sun times critic, journalist and screen writer has battled thyroid cancer and lost his ability to speak in 2006. Ebert is considered "the most powerful pundit in America" by Forbes and the first film critic to win a Pulitzer Prize and a star in Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Roger took to twitter posting "Yes, fracture. But no surgery needed. Details follow." Many fans gave tweets of support
@eberchicago "Speedy and full repair and recovery, Dear Roger," "You were born hip, no need to reinforce hipster status," "Get better soon."
