Pizza Hut is all set to launch a new "Eau de Pizza Hut Perfume," to commemorate Pizza Hut Canada reaching 100,000 Facebook fans. Boasting of top notes of hand tossed dough and seasonings, Pizza Hut is now the latest 'celeb' to launch a fragrance.

Just in August, Pizza Hut asked its fans, "Do you love the smell of a box of Pizza Hut pizza being opened? We thought so. If that smell was a perfume, what would it be called?" When fans discussed their answers on the social networking site little did they know that a simple question would lead to a fragrance.

"When our ad team at GRIP brought the idea to us, we absolutely loved it," says Beverley D'Cruz, marketing and product development director, Pizza Hut Canada. "What better way to celebrate our Facebook fans than by providing them with a way to enjoy the fresh smell of Pizza Hut pizza whenever they want!"

Only 110 bottles of the limited edition perfume have been designed and shared with some lucky Facebook fans who sent a message to the brand requesting for a bottle.

"For now, we've only produced 110 bottles of Eau de Pizza Hut, but who knows what the future has in store. The good news is people can enjoy the great smell of fresh Pizza Hut pizza any day of the week by ordering one of our signature crust pizzas," D'Cruz added.

Pizza Hut isn't the only food brand that has a perfume to its credit. In 2008, Burger King launched their signature fragrance, "The Flame by BK," a men's body spray described as "the scent of seduction with a hint of flame-broiled meat," according to Coolage. A Chicago based company, Farginnay created a bacon-scented cologne with 11 essential oils and a hint of bacon in 2011.
