Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun is not a happy man right now. Bieber does not figure anywhere in the 2013 Grammy list of Nominations, according to The Improper.
Bieber's third studio album, "Believe", released in June 2012, grossed the biggest first-week sales at the time. The album also marked Bieber's transition from teen pop to dance pop and R&B.
Braun tweeted to his two million plus followers and shared his displeasure. Though he started out on a positive note congratulating Carly Rae Jepsen for her nomination as the best new artist, his disappointment was clear when it came to Bieber.
"This time there wont be any wise words, no excuses, I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one," Braun tweeted. "The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. the kid delivered. Huge successful album, sold out tour, and won people over..." he later added. He further went on to say, "..this time he deserved to be recognized and I dont really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision i dont agree with. so to all those nominated...you do deserve it. You worked hard and u earned it. Just feel like so did JB."
Braun is very annoyed and to some extent the manager's disappointment about Bieber not getting a nomination might be justified. The Canadian singer's fans seem to feel the same way as Braun about the nominations. But on the other hand, Grammy Awards are not based just on popularity and sales, there are other things like creative value and quality that are considered.
Another singer sailing in the same boat is Nicki Minaj who had three nominations to her credit last year but has been excluded from the list this year.
