Shakira’s pregnanacy joy has been marred by ex-boyfriend and manager Antonio de La Rua. The singer has been served with a $100 million lawsuit by Rua, reports Fox News.

According to Nova, the lawsuit reads, "The combination of de la Rúa's business and marketing talents with Defendant's artistic talents, beauty and sex appeal succeeded in propelling the value of the partnership far beyond anything either had previously achieved or believed possible."

Rua’s lawyer William T.Reid IV told Fox that his client had tried talking to Shakira about the issue but the singer refused to acknowledge him and hence, Rua was forced to sue the Colombian singer.

“She was extremely successful as a recording artist long before Antonio ever became her business manager. But the financial success she enjoyed with Antonio was unparalleled,” 411 Mania quoted Reid as saying.

Rua and Shakira dated for more than 11 years since 2000 and he was appointed as her manager in 2004. When the former couple broke up in 2010, Shakira posted on her site that he would still be her manager and will continue to take care of her business and career. But Rua was terminated in less than a year.

Shakira is currently dating Gerard Piqué, centre back for FC Barcelona and the Spanish National football team. The 35-year-old excitedly announced in September that the couple is expecting their first child together. The “Waka Waka” hit maker recently posted a picture on Instagram giving fans a sneak peak of her baby bump. Snuggling up to the footballer, Shakira looks happy and radiant saying, “I could have another nine months like this!”

But probably fans will support Shakira through this mess like they did when Blake Shelton commented on the singer’s accent saying that he couldn't understand anything she said. This comment did not go down well with fans and Shelton even received death threats over Twitter.
